How does fancy text work?

Fancy text uses special Unicode characters that look like styled versions of regular letters but are actually different characters entirely. That's why they work everywhere — Instagram, TikTok, X (Twitter), Discord, WhatsApp — because they're plain text, not formatting or images.

Most of the styles above come from the Unicode Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block (U+1D400–U+1D7FF), originally added so mathematicians could write equations. The bubble, squared, and parenthesized styles come from the Enclosed Alphanumerics block. The combining-mark styles (strikethrough, underline) overlay invisible marks on each letter.

About faux cyrillic text

What is faux cyrillic text?

Latin letters replaced by Cyrillic lookalikes. Reads as English with a Russian flavour. The output (FцZ Cчгiииiс) is real Unicode text — not formatting or images — so it pastes anywhere you can type.

Where can I use faux cyrillic text?

Anywhere that accepts Unicode input: Instagram bios and captions, TikTok captions, Discord usernames and messages, X (Twitter) posts, WhatsApp, Tumblr, Reddit comments, YouTube descriptions, LinkedIn posts. Some platforms (Instagram and TikTok @handles, certain forms) restrict to ASCII — those won't render the styled characters.

Is faux cyrillic text safe to use in usernames?

Yes on Discord, X (Twitter) display names, WhatsApp display names, and Tumblr. No on Instagram and TikTok @handles, which require ASCII letters/numbers/periods/underscores. Always check the platform's username rules — some count Unicode characters as multiple bytes against length limits.
